2. How We Store Your Data
All user data is stored on Supabase, a secure cloud platform. We implement Row Level Security (RLS) to ensure that officers can only access their own data, with the exception of department administrators who have access to all reports within their department for administrative purposes.
We use Supabase authentication systems to verify and control access to the data tables.
Data Retention: We retain all collected information for a period of 5 years for archiving purposes.
3. Third-Party Sharing
We do not share any user information with third parties. Your data remains confidential and is only used for the purposes outlined in this privacy policy.
4. Cookies and Tracking
We use cookies solely for session management purposes to keep users logged in to the application. These cookies are essential for the proper functioning of the app.
The only tracking we perform is location tracking, which is:
- Only activated if explicitly enabled by the officer
- Only used when the officer chooses to include location data in a report
- Not used for any other purpose beyond documenting the location in the officer's report
5. User Data Rights
Due to the nature of law enforcement reporting, our data management policies are structured to maintain the integrity of reports:
- Users can create new reports
- Users can delete reports they have created
- Report editing is not a planned feature to preserve the integrity of field sobriety test documentation
If you need access to your personal account information or have questions about your data, please contact us at support@dewie.app.
6. Age Restrictions
While we do not impose a specific age restriction on the use of Dewie, the application is designed exclusively for professional law enforcement officers performing their official duties. Access to the app is controlled through department-based registration and professional credentials verification.
7. Privacy Policy Updates
We may periodically update this privacy policy to reflect changes in our practices or for other operational, legal, or regulatory reasons. When we make changes to this policy, we will notify all users via the email address provided during registration. We encourage you to review this privacy policy periodically to stay informed about how we protect your information.
